Put simply, Genpire turns your product idea into a factory-ready tech pack and then helps you find a manufacturer to actually make it.

Think of it as the bridge over that tricky, often expensive gap between having a great idea and having a detailed blueprint a factory can understand and produce. Traditionally, crossing that gap meant hiring a technical designer, getting a handle on CAD software, and spending ages hunting down the right manufacturing partner. We built Genpire to handle all that heavy lifting for you.

So, How Does It Work?

It all boils down to a pretty straightforward three-part process: getting your idea down, turning it into a professional tech pack, and then connecting with a factory.

First up, you give us the vision. This happens on the creation screen in your Creator Dashboard. You can go about this in a couple of ways. If you're better with words, you can simply describe your product—what it is, what it's for, its key features, colors, and so on. This "Vibe Manufacturing" approach is all about translating your text into a technical design. Or, if you're more of a visual person, you can upload reference images, sketches, or even scan a PDF. You can do one, the other, or both. The point is, you don't need a perfect sketch or any CAD skills to get the ball rolling. A simple description is often all it takes.

Next, Genpire gets to work. Using your input, the platform generates a complete, professional tech pack. This is the single source of truth for your product, containing all the technical specifications, measurements, materials, and construction details a factory needs. Once it's ready, you’ll find it waiting for you under the Tech Packs section. This is your moment to be the creative director. You'll review the generated pack, make sure it perfectly matches your vision, and request any refinements you need.

Finally, when you're happy with your tech pack, you can find someone to make it. A "Request Quote" button on your tech pack starts the process. You'll fill out a quick form with the details of your order—like whether you want a sample or a full production run, the quantity, and your budget. From there, you can select a supplier and send your request. Your polished tech pack gets sent right along with it, so manufacturers have everything they need to give you an accurate quote.

What Kinds of Products Can I Make?

While a lot of our creators are in fashion, Genpire is definitely not just for apparel. The platform is built to handle a whole range of physical products. We see people creating everything from intricate jewelry and footwear to custom furniture, toys, bags, and all sorts of accessories. If it's a product that needs a factory and a tech pack, chances are we can help you build it.

Your Role vs. Genpire's Role

The best way to think about Genpire is as your technical co-founder. You bring the creative vision, the taste, and the big-picture idea of what the final product should be. It’s your job to provide the initial input and, most importantly, to review the final output to make sure it’s exactly right.

Genpire's role is to be the expert translator. We take your creative vision—whether it's in words or images—and convert it into the precise, standardized language that factories speak: the tech pack. We handle the technical drawings, the spec sheets, and the nitty-gritty details so you can stay focused on the design. It's a partnership.

Do I need to know how to sketch or use design software?

Nope, not at all. You can get started with just a detailed written description of your product idea. If you do have sketches or reference images, you can absolutely upload them, but they are not required to generate a tech pack.

What exactly is a tech pack?

A tech pack (short for technical packet) is the master blueprint for your product. It’s a comprehensive document that includes everything a manufacturer needs to know to produce your item correctly, from technical drawings and measurements to material lists and color codes. It ensures that what you designed is what gets made.

Can I use my own manufacturer if I already have one?

Yes, of course. Once your tech pack is generated and finalized, you can easily download it. You can then share it with any manufacturer you choose, whether they’re in our network or someone you already work with.
